Emerson International Acquires Site, Will Build 40,000 Square Foot Headquarters Facility for Florida Technical College at Central Florida Research Park near UCF Campus

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. -- Emerson International has acquired a seven acre site at Central Florida Research Park adjacent to the University of Central Florida in east Orlando and plans to start construction on a 40,000 square foot campus facility for Florida Technical College, a proprietary college with facilities in Orlando, DeLand and Lakeland.

Eric Emerson, vice president and general manager of Emerson International, said the firm acquired the site from O53A, LLC, represented by Jeff K. McFadden, SIOR, president of McFadden Realty Advisors, Inc.

First Builders, Inc., has been named general contractor and Lincoln Property Company is managing the construction project, which will get underway in March with completion scheduled by October.

Emerson said the new Florida Technical College campus building is expected to open in October.  Florida Technical College has leased the build-to-suit facility for 15 years, Emerson said.

Emerson International has developed Class A office facilities that total more than 1.2 million square feet in Central Florida, including the Center Pointe office park and Center Point I and II at Uptown Altamonte overlooking Crane’s Roost; Sanlando Center in Longwood; Louisiana Office Park in Winter Park; Major Center I and II near International Drive in southwest Orlando, and office facilities in Maitland, Longwood and Altamonte Springs.

“We are very excited at the opportunity to establish a presence at Central Florida Research Park, Emerson said.
